The Yorkshire County Cat Club Show - Sat 25th October 2008 A special thank you to Lynda, for inviting me to judge, my very first engagement. It was particularly special as it was the Yorkshire CC show many years ago that was the very first show I visited at 14yrs of age and when I first got the bug we like to call a hobby.  Thanks to Jan Bradley for looking after me and handling the cats so well.

AC Burmese maiden Adult
1st   Rae’s RAEBURASI NARA 27a F 08/12/07.

A young blue Burmese girl only just adult at 10 and a half month, shy but very good natured, who handled very well, bless her. She has a fairly short wedge, with good width at cheeks, and a rounded muzzle. There is slight rounding to the top of the head visible from both the front between the ears and in profile from the back of her head to the front, and down over her forehead. She has a distinct break followed by a fairly short nose, spoilt by a small bump and a roll off at the very tip to the nose leather. Her chin is of medium depth and just about level with her nose and she has a level bite. Her ears were medium sized, broad at the base and rounded at the tip, having a slight forward tilt in profile. They were set well apart, with the outer edge line continuing the outline of her wedge Her eyes were of good size although appeared very slightly deep set. They were framed by a top line slanting towards the nose and a fuller rounded lower line. In the hall lighting her eyes appeared as a good yellow with a chartreuse inner rim of the iris. She has a medium sized and elegant stature to her body, feeling muscular with rounded chest and straight back, slender elegant legs and neat oval paws. Her tail length balances her body and is of medium thickness tapering gently to a rounded tip.. She has a fine satin like textured coat, slightly long but lying sleekly. Darkish blue toned, showing desired silvering around the head, over nose across cheeks, ears and legs and paws.

Burmese Kitten Male
1st  Campbell’s MICIASALI MOSHE 27c M 16/02/08
A calm and collected friendly young boy, with a good sized firm frame to his body and looking well developed for his 8 months.
He has a fairly short wide wedge finishing with a blunt muzzle. The gentle rounding to top of his head was apparent both from front between his ears and in profile from back to front of his head, and across the brow and shows good depth to his skull. He has largish ears, that hopefully he will grow into which are well set having good width between them. His neat profile has a shallow break followed by a fairly short straight nose finishing neatly in line with a chin which is of medium depth. He has a level bite. His eyes were medium sized and yellow in colour with a gentle curve to the top line slanting towards the nose, however, the lower line of the eye needs more fullness, although they did improve when he was out of the pen, and being alert, as he held them more open, but I’d still prefer more fullness to his lower eye line. He has very good weight and muscle tone yet still elegantly limbed with paws to grow into! His tail was a little thick at the base but tapered gentle to a rounded tip and lengthwise balanced his body. In the hall lighting his coat appeared cool toned lilac over his head, back and tail. It had a good silky texture but is slightly long and a bit plush at the moment.

CHIARO PASTICCIO 27c M 08/04/08
A rather shy young boy who was particularly unhappy with the noise in the hall when I handled him in the afternoon making him difficult to assess without distressing him further.
He was looking rather unbalanced, square in the muzzle and perhaps a bit pinched today and needed more width to balance the length of his wedge. He has fairly large sized ears, but held them back due to stress so I was unable assess their set properly. His top of head shows gentle rounding in all directions, and his profile displays a distinct break, good depth to his head, and a medium chin which just recedes slightly. His eyes are a good shape, with a top line slanting towards the nose and a full rounded lower line and they are a pale yellow in colour, I’d prefer them a little larger than they appeared today. A gentle cuddle in his pen allowed me to tell that he is of good weight and has a firm muscular feel to his body. His tail is medium thickness with a rounded tip to the end and reached his shoulder so of appropriate length for his body. His legs are shapely with neat oval paws. His coat is a lovely sleek satin texture, very close lying, of medium length with a darkish lilac tone. I hope I will see him in a happier more confident mood on another occasion.

A large muscular boy, feeling fit and in excellent condition. He has a lovely strong masculine Burmese look, with a short wide wedge, very good width a the cheeks and a blunt finish to the muzzle. Medium sized ears, with rounded tips are well set on his broad head with good width between them. His top of head shows gentle rounding in all directions, front to back and between his ears, gentle rounding to forehead. He has a distinct break, a fairly short straight nose and firm level chin of good depth. His bite has rather untidy front teeth but is level. His large lustrous expressive eyes, were a pale yellow in colour, lovely Burmese expression with top eye line curving gently down to down and a fuller rounded lower eye line. He has strong yet elegant legs and large oval paws, a tail of medium thickness, rounded tip but is  just a little short to the proportion to his body, he has a small bony vertebrae approx 2 inches up from tip. His coat is a has warm tones to it’s milk chocolate colour, a little long but lies very well and has a silky texture.

CH & PR RAINSONG XABI ALONSO 27 MN 07/03/07
Running the winner close, a very stylish looking young lad, he has lots of ‘attitude’ but although he grumbled at being handled he remained a gentleman. His head is not yet as developed as the winner, being a fairly short wedge showing gentle rounding over the top in all directions and gentle rounding over his forehead. His ears are rather large but well set with good with between them wide at base and rounded tips and showing a slight tilt forward in profile,
He has a good break and a fairly short, neat straight nose, a medium depth chin, level with his nose and a level bite.He has acceptable sized eyes, chartreuse in colour, good slanting top line and rounded lower line, I’d prefer them to be just slightly fuller in lower line and slightly larger for perfection. He has a good muscular feel, to his sturdy yet elegant body and limbs with shapely legs and neat oval paws. His tail is just slightly short to balance, but a good shape, medium in thickness and tapering to a rounded tip. He has an exceptional glossy and rich warm toned brown short coat with satin like texture making him eye catching.

A weighty lady, her plumpness slightly detracting from her elegance.
Her head has good width across the cheeks, finishing with a rounded muzzle. Her top of head shows gentle rounding both from front and in profile with very good width between ears which were slightly large with rounded tip, set well apart so that the outer line continued up from the line of the wedge and with a slight tilt forward in profile. She has a good break followed by a straight nose, slightly longer than I prefer which rolled off just at the tip to the nose leather, and a slightly shallow depth chin which was just about level. Level bite. Her large lustrous eyes, were framed by a top line which gently curves and slants towards the nose and full lower line giving a lovely expression. They are a lovely yellow with a pleasing amount of intensity of colour. Elegant slim legs, dainty spoon shaped paws and a medium thick tail which tapers gently to a round tip but requires a little more length to balance. Her lilac tortie coat is silky in texture, glossy and close lying despite being slightly long. In the hall lighting she appeared to be a slightly warmer cream and a darker lilac in colour than I’d prefer.

DOKPHISUA APELIOTA  27a F 07/03/08
Very sweet blue kitten with very good short wide wedge finishing with a gently rounded yet blunt muzzle and lovely rounding to top of head and gentle rounded contours to the head in general which also has good depth.
Her medium sized kitten ears, wide at base and rounded tips are set well apart, the outer line continuing the outer contours of her wedge. In profile she has a strong distinct break, a short straight nose, finishing in the same vertical plane as her chin which has good depth.  Her bite appeared level at the sides although lower front adult teeth were as yet missing having lost her baby ones by today. Her eyes were a good size set well apart and the shape of the eye top line curved gently in a downward slant toward the nose with the bottom line being full and rounded to give a lovely expression once she was enticed into opening them fully. Their colour still developing and looking promising having golden hues behind muddier olive shades. She has an elegant delicate female build feeling firm and of good weight for her age with elegant dainty legs and spoon shaped paws. Tail is a good length, balancing her body length, of medium thickness and tapering to a rounded tip. Her coat, still kitteny, has a soft silky texture in general, with a slightly harsher small patch over her rump at present. It is slightly long as yet and showing a slight ticked appearance as the silvering is still developing over flanks at present. She was a soft blue, silvering developing, and noticeable over face and paws.
2nd Johnson’s VERVAIN CHERRYPLUM 27c 21/03/08

Such a pretty lilac Miss, alert and playful enjoying her day out today.
She has a neat short wedge, slightly finer in the muzzle than the winner. Lovely rounding to her top of head, with larger kitten ears, wide at base and rounded to tip. She kept holding them a slightly higher than I’d like today, in her eagerness for attention. She has a medium depth of chin, finishing level with her nose, and a level bite. In profile she has a lovely neatness to her profile with a short straight nose, but a gentle, rather than distinct break at present. Her eyes were set well apart, of a good size and shape with the top line of eye gently curved and slanted towards the nose and the lower eye line rounded and full give her a good expression. Her eye colour is still developing but showing promise with strong golden hues around the outer edge of the iris whilst still muddier in the centre. She has a dainty, elegant body, legs and paws with a good weight firmness finished with a tail which is a medium thickness, tapering to a rounded tip and it’s length balances her body. Her coat was particularly good for a young kitten, silky smooth and close lying and quite short. Even in colour of a pale, pinky lilac.
3rd Matthews’ KATCHYN COCOMARA 27b F 07/02/08

A young chocolate girl, slightly older and already thinking about boys it seems!  She is slightly longer in the head although she has good width across cheeks. Her muzzle appeared slightly pinched today and she puffed her whisker pads out as well which accentuated it and spoilt her appearance today. She has good depth to her head, and a good depth to her chin which finishes in line with her nose. Her top of head gently rounds in both directions, and continues to a gentle rounding of the forehead. Her medium sized ears are well set with good width between them, wide at base and rounded at tip with a tilt forward in profile. She has a very good distinct break but her nose unfortunately has a slight bump and rolls off at its tip and appears slightly long. Her eyes display a really lovely expression, being large and lustrous, set well apart and with gently curve to top line which slants down to the nose and a full rounded lower eye line. Her eye colour is still developing but showing strong depth of pigmentation and a rich chartreuse colouration. She has a good strong body, with good muscle tone, compact yet still elegant, with shapely limbs and spoon shaped paws, finished with a medium thick tail which tapers gently to rounded tip, which is just long enough to balance her body. There is a small stiff ending to her tail. Her coat is a warm milk chocolate, even in colour over her body with a darker contrast to her mask and some ticking on her tail, and the back of her neck. The texture was not as fine as I’d like and a small area was slightly coarse in texture just over her rump and at the tail base but it was short in length.

The Lancashire County Cat Club Show -  March 2009 I was delighted when Chris asked me to judge and support one of my local shows this year, Thanks go to Sally Giles for looking after me and patience given my annoying cold on the day, and of course for handling the cats so well for me. I look forward to the next time. Thanks also to the exhibitors who trusted me with their cats and gave me this opportunity.

Cream Burmese Kitten Male
1st & BOB  Coulter’s JACOU BORNTOBOOGIE BEAU       27f M 03/08/08.

What a lovely promising young lad of nearly 8 months of age and an excellent size and weight for his age. Lovely head, proportionate in its size to his body and held on a strong yet elegant neck. He has a short wedge with very good width at the cheeks, tapering to a blunt finish at the muzzle. The top of the head shows gentle rounding between the ears, which has very good width, with set well ears so that their outer line continues the shape of the upper part of his face. Ears are medium in size, broad at the base, and rounded at the tip. The profile shows a slight forward tilt to the ears and a very slightly rounded brow. He has reasonably good depth between the top of the skull and the lower jaw, a gentle but definite nose break, is followed by a fairly short straight nose, medium depth chin which is level with his nose, and a level bite. Good sized eyes of good shape, set wide apart with a well defined roundness to the lower eye line and a gentler curved, straighter top line that slants to give typical Burmese expression. His eye colour still developing with olive tones towards the centre and brighter yellow chartreuse tones beginning to show on the outer rim. Good solid firm feel to his young body, broad rounded chest and straight back. He has proportionate elegant legs with oval shaped paws, a medium tail, tapering gently to a rounded slightly tense tip and with just enough length to balance his body. He has a fairly short coat, lying close to his body and developing a very good silky texture which is a slightly dark toned cream over head and back, paling over his sides, flanks and tummy. A nice powdering effect is developing over head ears and shoulders with expected darker cream tabby markings evident on his forehead I found a faint well broken necklace and a couple of faint tummy smudge marks.
Cream Burmese Kitten Female
1st    Rayner’s BOSSYBOOTS ALWAYS AURALIA        27f F 23/08/08

Very friendly, sweet natured girl kitten, a few weeks older than the boy. Unfortunately she seemed rather out of sorts today, slightly under the weather and lacking the usual solid feel. Her head, neck and body, though a little slight in weight were in proportion. Slightly narrow wedge, requiring more width across the top as well as at the cheek bones, finished with a fairly blunt muzzle which was slightly pinched today. On examination of her mouth I could see that she was teething her back teeth, and that her bite was level. Her top of head showed gentle rounding between the ears, but required a little more width between the ears to give them the correct set. Today she held them high so that the outline of her wedge did not continue along the out edge of her ears as would be desired.  She has slightly large ears, broad at the base and rounded at the tip showing a slight forward tilt in profile. A slight curve was evident over her forehead, and she has a fairly good nose break followed by a straight, though slightly long nose. She lacked the desired depth between the top of the skull and the lower jaw I felt, with a medium-shallow depth chin, which ended in the same vertical plane as her nose. She has good sized eyes of good shape, set wide apart with a well defined roundness to the lower eye line and a gentler curved, straighter top line that slants. Colour, currently a promising muddy chartreuse. She has a rounded chest. Her coat was slightly long and rather open today with warmish cream tones over face and back, paling down her sides with evidence of powdering beginning to show over head . I found dark cream smudges on front and back legs, on her tummy and a broken necklace and the expected tabby markings on her face and forehead.

A very stunning blue girl in her prime, and very confidently in charge of her space! She has an excellent head, proportionate in its size to her body and held on a strong yet elegant neck. From the front she has a super short wide wedge, having particularly lovely width at the cheek bones and tapering to a blunt muzzle. The top of her head shows gentle rounding between the ears, which are set well apart so that the outer line of the ears continue the shape of the upper part of the face. Ears are medium in size, broad at the base, and rounded at the tip. The profile shows a slight forward tilt to the ears and a very slightly rounded brow. She has lovely depth between the top of the skull and the lower jaw, a distinct nose break is followed by a short neat straight nose, medium depth of chin which is level with her nose. She has a slightly untidy but level bite. Her lovely large lustrous yellow chartreuse eyes are of very good shape and set wide apart to give the typical Burmese expression. She has a lovely firm muscular feel to her body which is typically heavier than her size indicates, a strong rounded chest and straight back. She has slender elegant legs in balance with her body, spoon shaped paws, a medium tail, just slightly thick at the base, tapering gently to a rounded tip and with enough length to nicely balance her body. Short fine silky textured coat, lying sleek and close to her body and showing nice healthy shine to it. The colour is a mid blue, coloured to the roots, paling over her sides and tummy, and with a distinctive silvering over her face, ears legs and paws. She is clear coated and free from white hairs. An excellent example of the breed.
2nd Boardman’s Ch ARTRO LILAC MOONSTONE          27c F 21/08/04
Another very typy girl with a rather shy nature, who’s appearance improved as she settled and was less inclined to try and pull her head into her shoulders which tended to exaggerate an already super short and wide wedge and she doesn’t need to be any shorter!  Relaxed in the pen, she has fabulous width at the cheek bones, and her short wedge finishes with a super bluntness to muzzle. The top of the head shows gentle rounding and ample width between the ears, which are set so that the outer line of the ears continue the shape of the upper part of the face. Ears are medium in size, broad at the base, and rounded at the tip. The profile shows a slight forward tilt to the ears and a slightly rounded brow. She has lovely depth between the top of the skull and the lower jaw. A good nose break is followed by a short neat straight nose, medium depth to her chin which is level with her nose. Unfortunately she has a marginally undershot bite. She has large lustrous rich golden yellow eyes are of very good shape and set wide apart to give typical expression when relaxed. She is a rather substantial girl, weighty and with a solid feel to her body, strong rounded chest and straight back. She has slender elegant legs with spoon shaped paws, a medium tail, again just slightly thick at the base, tapering gently to a rounded tip and with just enough length to balance her body. Medium length coat, soft silky texture that lies well, slightly darker lilac tones over her face and ears, along her back and tail, paling down the sides, and showing a warm pink cast.

A feisty  3 yr old miss, who liked to toy with us of good overall type. her head, proportionate to the body, has a short wedge, with very good width at the cheekbones and tapering to quite a neat blunt muzzle. The top of her head shows gentle rounding between the ears, which are set well apart so that the outer line of the ears continue the shape of the upper part of the face. She has medium sized ears, broad at the base, rounded at the tip and in profile showing a forward tilt, very slight rounding over brow and fairly good depth between the top of the skull and the lower jaw. She has a good nose break is followed by a short nose with a slight bump. She has medium depth to her chin which is level, a level bite, although a little untidy. She has very expressive eyes which are large and lustrous and were set well apart  with a well defined rounded bottom line and a gentler curved top line slanting towards her nose. They are a pale chartreuse colour. She has a compact yet elegant sized body and, with a good muscular feel and heavier than  her size indicates. rounded chest and straight back.  Her slender elegant legs of appropriate proportions, with neat spoon shaped paws. She has a medium thick tail, tapering gently to a rounded tip and with enough length to nicely balance her body. Her satinesque sleek coat, lies very close to her body, a darker slightly cooler toned brown colour, paling slightly but coloured to the root. A lovely girl with strong competition today.

Another stylish exhibit of equal quality to the above and only a youngster as yet. Her head, held on an elegant neck is proportionate to her body, and is composed of a short wedge, with fairly good width at the cheek bones tapering to a fairly blunt muzzle. She has gentle rounding to the top between the ears, and over the brow, medium-large ears, broad at the base, set well apart so that the outer line of the ears continue the outer line of her face. In profile a slight tilt forward to her ears is evident, but her head would benefit from a little more depth between the top of the skull and the lower jaw. She has a tidy profile with a good nose break, and straight nose ending with the tip of the nose in the same vertical plane as the chin which is of acceptable depth and a tidy level bite. Another pair of super eyes greet us from this young lady, large lustrous pale yellow chartreuse, of very good shape and set wide apart to give typical expression with a gentle curve slanting towards the nose and fuller well defined lower line. She has a medium sized body, with good muscle tone and typically heavier than expected. A rounded chest and straight back from shoulders to rump, elegant  proportionate legs and spoon shaped paws. She has a medium thick tail, tapering slightly to a rounded tip at the end, of appropriate length for her body length. Her coat is fairly short, with a soft satin like feel and lying close to the body with a nice sheen. Evenly toned lilac, with pleasing hint of warmth and pink tones. Lots of promise with her best yet to come.

A stylish petite, young lady of 11 months with a very sweet nature. She has a lovely head, held on an elegant neck and proportionate to the body, the front view shows a short wide wedge, having good width at the cheek bones and smoothly tapering to a rounded and fairly blunt muzzle. The top of the head shows gentle rounding between the ears, and in profile a slightly rounded brow . Ample medium-large ears, broad at the base, rounded at the tip and in profile the characteristic slight forward tilt, are set well apart on top so that the outer line of the ears continue the outer line of her cheeks and wedge. The head shows quite good depth between the top of the skull and the lower jaw, a distinct nose break followed by a straight nose ending with the tip of the nose in the same vertical plane as the chin which is of acceptable depth. Her lovely neat white teeth presented a level bite. Appropriately large eyes, in proportion to her head, set well apart, framed by a top line which gently curves and slants towards the nose and fuller lower line giving a lovely expression which were yellow chartreuse with a pleasing intensity of colour. She is compact yet elegant, with a very good firm feel and typically heavier than expected with a rounded chest and straight back from shoulders to rump. She has slender elegant legs proportionate to the body ending with neat oval paws, medium thickness to her tail, tapering slightly to a rounded tip at the end, of appropriate length for her body length. Her slightly long coat, feels soft and satin like to the touch, lies well and shows a healthy gleam. Blue and cream colours mingling in her coat with silvering evident over her head and ears, free from barring and white hairs
2nd  Coulter’s JACOU UNIQUE ULTRAVIOLET 27j F 13/02/08
A longer bodied girl, just over a year old at 13 months, rather rangy in proportions at the moment. She has a fairly short wedge finishing with a slightly fine muzzle, At present she has a slight narrowness in the head, needing a little more width across the top of her head between the ears and at the cheek bones. The top of her head is gently rounded both between the ears and over the brow. She has a distinct break and straight nose with a medium depth of chin, in the same vertical plane as her nose. She has a slightly untidy bite to assess but it does look level. I’d prefer a little more depth to her skull, her medium sized ears have an acceptable set, broad at the base, rounded at the tip and show the correct slight forward tilt in profile. Large eyes are set well apart, with a top line gently curving down towards the nose, and a lower eye line requiring more definite rounding to give better distinction between the two. They are a pale chartreuse colour. Rangy body currently, needing to fill out, rounded chest and straight back, elegant longish legs and oval paws. Slightly thick tail tapering to a slightly blunt, tense end needing a little more length to balance her body.  Medium coat length, soft in texture and made up of lilac and cream mingled and patched colours. Loving temperament.

A rather fetching little brown tortie kitten, with a super little face and expression who had caught my eye earlier in the day. Very nice head, proportionate to the body, the front view shows a short wedge, having good width at the cheek bones and tapering to rounded and quite blunt muzzle. The top of the head shows gentle rounding between the ears, which are modest in size broad at the base, rounded at the tip with a slight tilt forward in profile. Her ears tended to be held a little upright today and a little more width between the ears would improve the follow through of their outer line up from her wedge. With time when she relaxed more in her pen she held them in a more typical position. Her profile shows a slightly rounded brow and good depth between the top of the skull and the lower jaw and medium depth to her chin. She has a good nose break is followed by a straight nose, which rolls off at the tip, and is just level with her chin. Correct level bite. Her eyes are a good size, and set well apart with a well defined rounded bottom line and a straighter top line slanting towards her nose. They are still developing their ultimate colour and are olive toned chartreuse currently which reduces their visual impact. Medium compact yet elegant kitten body of acceptable size and weight for 7 months. Strong rounded chest and straight back. Slender elegant legs in balance with her body with neat spoon shaped paws. A medium thick tail, tapering gently to a rounded tip and with just enough length to nicely balance her body. Her coat is a trifle long and soft kittenish at present but of good texture and lies well. Mingled warm brown and shades of red paling over sides and tummy, red tabby markings over face and a faint half broken necklace. Confident playful kitten, very happy to be handled and as pleased to meet us and we were to meet her.

From the front she has a fairly short wedge, having very good width at the cheek bones and tapering to a neat blunt muzzle. The top of the head shows excellent width and gentle rounding between the ears, which are set well apart so that the outer line of the ears continue the shape of the upper part of the face. Her ears are medium in size, broad at the base, and rounded at the tip. Her profile shows a slight forward tilt to the ears and a very slightly rounded brow. She has lovely depth between the top of the skull and the lower jaw, a good nose break followed by a fairly short nose with a slight bump and a medium depth to her chin which is just about level with her nose. A tidy level bite. Her eyes are acceptable size, although I’d prefer them a little larger, they are set well apart with a well defined rounded bottom line and a straighter top line slanting towards her nose. They are still developing but already showing promising golden tones. She has a lovely healthy solid feel to her body, good size and weight for her age with a strong rounded chest and straight back. She has slender elegant legs in balance with her body with spoon shaped paws, A medium tail, tapering gently to a rounded tip and with enough length to nicely balance her body. She has a medium length kitten coat, fine silky texture, lying well of a cooler toned brown colour currently, paling over her sides and tummy. Really lovely overall type to this 18 month old neuter girl, looking very stylish today. Very good head, proportionate to the body, the front view shows a short wide wedge, having particularly lovely width at the cheek bones and tapering to quite a blunt muzzle. The top of the head shows gentle rounding between the ears, which are set well apart so that the outer line of the ears continue the shape of the upper part of the face. Medium sized ears, broad at the base, rounded at the tip. The profile shows a slightly rounded brow and a slight forward tilt to the ears. She has good depth between the top of the skull and the lower jaw, a good nose break followed by a straight nose, which falls away to the leather just at the very tip, medium depth to her chin which is just level with her nose and a level bite. Her eyes are large and lustrous and were set well apart and had an excellent shape with a well defined rounded bottom line and a straighter top line slanting towards her nose. They are chartreuse in colour and she had a super Burmese expression. Her medium compact yet elegant sized body has a super firm muscular feel and heavier than her size indicates. Strong rounded chest and straight back, slender elegant legs in balance with her body with neat spoon shaped paws and a medium thick tail, tapering gently to a rounded tip and with enough length to nicely balance her body. Super sleek brown coat with good satin-like in texture, and lay closely to the body and showing a distinctive gloss typical of the breed and is a testimony to her excellent health and condition. A young gentleman who exercises his appetite and was keen to chat to us. He has a handsome head of generally good type who appears unbalanced due to his substantial body, so his head appears too small for his body today. He has a sturdy neck and from the front I can see he has a fairly short wedge, having good width at the cheek bones and tapering to a fairly blunt muzzle. The top of the head shows gentle rounding between the ears, which are set well apart so that the outer line of the ears continue the shape of the upper part of the face. He has medium in sized ears, broad at the base, rounded at the tip. In profile I can see a  very slightly rounded brow, a slight forward tilt to the ears and good depth between the top of the skull and the lower jaw, a distinct nose break is followed by a slightly long straight nose level with chin which is of medium depth and correct bite. He has large and lustrous eyes set well apart and good shape with a full and rounded bottom line, and when relaxed in his pen, a gentler curved top line slanting towards her nose giving a good Burmese expression and being pale chartreuse in colour. A large boy feeling solid and heavy with a broad, rounded chest and straight back from shoulder to rump. Strong legs, appropriately sized large, oval paws, medium thick tail,  tapering slightly to a rounded tip length appearing short compared to his body. Medium length coat, fine, satin-like texture, and lying close to the body and showing a distinctive healthy gleam. A slightly dark cream coloured coat darker along the back and gradually shading to a lighter colour on the sides and tummy. Powdering evident over head and ears; faint broken necklace, and minimal faint smudges to knees and elbows and expected tabby markings showing on his face.

A lovely large gentle blue male neuter of 8 years with a lovely head proportionate size to his body, held on a strong muscular neck. The front view shows a short wide wedge, having good width at the cheek bones and tapering to a blunt finish at the muzzle. The top of the head shows gentle rounding between the ears, which are set well apart so that the outer line of the ears continue the shape of the upper part of the face. In profile the head shows good depth between the top of the skull and the lower jaw, and a slight gentle rounding to the brow. He has a good distinct break which is followed by a slightly long but straight nose ending with the tip of the nose in the same vertical plane as the chin which is of medium depth. His bite was slightly untidy but level. His ears are medium in size, broad at the base, rounded at the tip and having the typical slight forward tilt in profile. He has typical Burmese eyes being large, and set well apart, pale chartreuse colour in colour with the top line of the eye slanting towards the nose, and a fuller rounded lower line. He has a good sized male body and, feeling hard and muscular with a strong rounded chest and straight along his back. He has strong yet elegant legs proportionate to his body with oval paws, a medium tail, tapering slightly to a rounded tip length just slightly short in proportion to his body. His fairly short, fine coat has a lovely soft satiny feel and a good silvery blue colour, which gradually shade to a lighter colour on the sides and under parts and well coloured to the roots and free from barring.
2nd  Town’s IMP GR CH  TEAPOT ROSYLEE    27a FN 19/11/01
A good sized blue neuter female, in gleaming condition with a lovely disposition. Her head showed notably gentle rounding to all aspects almost as if she had been polished with vigour! She has fairly short wedge, having good width at the cheek bones and tapering to a rounded yet blunt finish at the muzzle. The top of the head shows gentle rounding between the ears, and over the brow. She has good shape to her ears that are well spaced apart, medium-large, broad based with rounded at the tips. In profile, the ears show a slight forward tilt to their set and the head shows good depth between the top of the skull and the lower jaw. An adequate nose break is followed by a slightly long straight nose ending with the tip of the nose in the same vertical plane as the chin which is of medium depth. Her smart teeth showed her bite to be level. Her large lustrous pale yellow chartreuse eyes are of good shape and set wide apart, having a top line of the eye which curves gently and slants towards the nose, and distinct rounding to the lower eye line, (although with very slightly heavy look to the brow for me.)
Although somewhat overweight she has a well toned and muscular elegant body and, heavier than its appearance would indicate. The chest is strong and rounded in profile, the back straight from shoulder to rump. Slender elegant legs are proportionate to the body, with hind legs being slightly longer than the front. She has neat oval paws. Medium tail, tapering slightly to a rounded tip and of good length to balance her body. Her fairly short coat is very sleek and lies close to the body showing a distinctive sheen. She has a darkish toned blue coat colour, darker along the back gradually shading to a lighter colour on the under parts and shading gradually to the roots with distinctive silvering over her head, legs and paws and free from barring and white hairs

Generally of good Burmese type, with a fairly short wedge, good width at the cheeks bones and a fairly blunt muzzle to his head set on a sturdy neck. The top of the head shows gentle rounding between the ears, which are set well apart so that the outer line of the ears continue the shape of the upper part of the face. He has good depth to his head, and adequate nose break is followed by a slightly long straight nose, a medium level chin which was just level and a level bite. He had large expressive eyes, golden chartreuse toned, set well apart, and of good shape to give a typical Burmese expression. Medium large sized body, as expected for male, feeling muscular although he is carry a little extra weight on his tum. His chest is strong and rounded in profile, and straight along the back. His larger legs and paws were proportionate to his body. Slightly thick tail at the base but gently tapering to a rounded tip at it’s end and of good length proportional to his body. His coat is fairly short little dense but soft in texture with healthy sheen. The coat colour is a warm toned chocolate, fairly evenly coloured and free from barring with gradually shading to a lighter colour on the under parts and a slightly darker tone to his face and ears

A lovely looking young boy, in excellent condition and who handled well today. His head shows a fairly short wedge, having good width at the cheeks and tapering to a blunt finish at the muzzle.  His top of head showing gentle rounding in all directions and gentle rounding over his forehead. His ears are slightly large but well set having good width between them wide at base and rounded tips and showing a slight tilt forward in profile. His head shows good depth between the top of the skull and the lower jaw. He has a good break and a fairly short, neat straight nose, a medium depth chin, level with his nose and a level bite. His eyes are set well apart, of fairly good size, and yellow chartreuse in colour, giving a good Burmese expression with a correct slanting top line and rounded lower line. He has a medium sized body for a male and, with a lovely hard and muscular body, giving that typical Burmese heavier than you are expecting feel. He has elegant limbs with shapely legs and neat oval paws. His tail is just slightly short to balance, but a good shape, medium in thickness and tapering to a rounded tip. A gentle lady with good manners who handled well. She has a slightly narrow head, which is proportionate in size to the body. From the front she appears to be slightly longer in the wedge than desirable, and finishing with a slightly square appearance to the muzzle. Her top of the head shows gentle rounding between the ears. In profile the brow is also slightly rounded but I'd prefer more depth between the top of the skull and the lower jaw. Her ears are set well apart so that the outer line of the ears continue the shape of the upper part of the face. She has very distinct nose break followed by a straight nose ending with the tip of the nose in the same vertical plane as the chin which is of medium depth. Unfortunately she has a slightly overshot bite. She has medium large sized ears, broad at the base, rounded at the tip and have in profile a slight forward tilt. Her eyes are set well apart are of a pale chartreuse in colour and the eye shape displayed a top line of the eye which slants towards the nose, and  good rounding to the lower line, although I’d prefer them to be larger. Her medium sized body felt hard and muscular with good weight. Her chest is strong and rounded in profile, the back straight from shoulder to rump. Her slender elegant legs were in proportion to the body, with neat oval paws and a medium tail, tapering slightly to a rounded tip with a length also  proportional to the body. She has a reasonably short, fine coat lying well and with a nice satiny texture. Her coat colour, shows a cooler toned even chocolate, the colour along the back gradually shading to a lighter shade on the under parts and shading gradually to the roots with her ears and face somewhat darker, and was free from barring and white hairs.

This friendly relaxed 4 and half month old boy kitten is well grown already. He has a moderate wedge, slightly longer and slightly narrower in the muzzle than desired but with gentle rounding and reasonably good width across the top of his head. In profile he has a gently rounded forehead and the desired tilt forward setting to his ears and reasonably good depth to his head. He has an adequate nose break followed by a slightly long nose which shows a downward slope and roll off at the tip. He has a medium depth chin, finishing just level with his nose and has a correct level bite. He has a medium depth chin, finishing just level with his nose and has a correct level bite. His eye colour is still developing, currently a promising muddy yellow colour, set well apart but slightly too small requiring more fullness to the lower line to give a more typical eye shape. His slightly large ears are well set, with their outer edge continuing the outline of his wedge, they are wide at the base and rounded at the tip. He has long adolescent body not unexpected for a growing boy, with a rounded chest and strong yet elegant neck, and a somewhat adolescent leggy appearance with long legs with large spoon shaped paws; room to grow into, a medium thick tail, tapering to a rounded tip which is just a fraction short to balance. His coat is still very kittenish having a soft, slightly plush texture, and is slightly long especially along his back. The colour is currently a dullish light brown, with a few white hairs and is free from barring.

Happy, inquisitive 4 and half month old kitten has a good size for her age and a lovely healthy firm feeling to her body.
She has a fairly short wedge having reasonably good width at the cheeks and a fairly blunt muzzle. Her head shows gentle rounding in all directions and acceptable width between her ears. In profile she has good depth between her lower jaw and top of her head and a good distinct nose break followed by a fairly straight nose. She has a medium depth chin, just a fraction set back and a level bite. Her muddy yellow eyes are set well apart, are of an acceptable size, once they improved as she opened them more in response to a feather stick! They have the desired slanting line to the top line and a reasonable rounding to the bottom line. She has medium sized ears, wide at base and rounded at their tip which she tended to hold a little high today perhaps due to the excitement of her first show. Elegant proportional legs and oval paws. Her medium thick tail tapers to a rounded tip, with a very small pip. Her coat is kitten soft in texture and fairly short in length. The colour is currently a dull mid brown, slightly brindled over the sides, paling to the roots, and showing smudges on the knees and shadow scarab over her forehead. She has a few white hairs over her neck which look to be growing out and are probably due to an over zealous mum! On balance I felt her head type was more balanced today and gave her the edge over the boy and so awarded her the BOB.

Chocolate Burmese Kitten  Female
1st & BOB Mrs L Fryer ELMYRA MELLOW MOCHA    27b    F    3/02/09
A very promising, pretty female kitten of general good Burmese type with a good solid weighty feel to her already.
She has quite a short wide wedge with lovely width at her cheeks and over the top of her head finishing with a fairly blunt muzzle. Gentle rounding is visible in all directions over top of head and forehead and she has reasonably good depth to her head. In profile she has a good distinct nose break is followed by a straight nose, angled slightly downwards ending in the same vertical plane as a slightly shallow chin. She has a level bite at each side at the front, although the top tiny middle front teeth are currently marginally set back giving an untidy result although not enough to be considered as undershot. Her pale chartreuse coloured eyes, set well apart were lovely and large and very expressive, with the desired slanting top line and full rounded lower line.  Her ears are on the larger side of medium, broad at their base and rounded at their tips, well set so that their outer line continues the wedge outline.  She has a proportionally medium thick tail tapering to a rounded tip the length of which just balances her body. Her body is a good size and weight and well muscled for her age, with a strong rounded chest, medium neck, proportional legs and oval paws. Her coat, slightly long is developing into an adult coat but not quite there yet, soft in texture and showing some sleekness.  It is a pale fairly warm chocolate, paling over sides and tummy with darker contrast to the mask. Free from barring and white hairs. A confident kitten who enjoyed being handled.

This lady was an easy winner of this class and a lovely example of the Burmese breed.
Her strongly typed head is made up of a short wide wedge with super width, across the top of her head, and at her cheeks and finished with neat blunt muzzle. She has overall gentle rounding, between her ears and over her forehead.
Her well set ears are ample in size, broad at the base and rounded at the tips and continue the shape of the upper part of her face and showing a slight forward tilt in profile. Large expressive chartreuse eyes, with which she gave us a sultry look. Lovely definition to their shape with well defined rounded bottom line and a slanting top line that runs down towards her nose.  She has a very pleasing profile with a classic definite nose break, straight nose, ending with the tip of the nose in the same vertical plane as the chin. She has medium depth to her chin contributing to an overall good depth of head .She is a compact and shapely girl and surprisingly weighty , as she should be,  all firm muscle no doubt. She has proportionate slender legs and neat oval paws. She has a perhaps a marginally fine tail which tapers gently to a rounded tip and just about balances her body. Her coat is a really pleasing warm honey, even toned chocolate, which is so nice to see with slightly darker tones to her mask. Immaculately  groomed, fairly short in length, gleaming  and  smooth texture and lying close over her body. She was very well behaved and a joy to meet.

I really like this young lady, she is elegant, stylish and has a pleasing tidiness and is filling out nicely. Her short wedge, has good width at the cheek bones and over the top of her head and finishes with a blunt muzzle, with just a hint of squareness about it today, which disappeared once left to relax back in her pen. She has gentle rounding to the top between the ears, and over the brow. Her profile displays a gentle but still definite break followed by a fairly short straight nose an adequate depth to her head, although more head depth would be my preference. She has an acceptable depth to her chin, again a little more would be preferable, but it is level with her nose tip and she has a tidy level bite. She has stunning large lustrous pale chartreuse eyes, of very good shape and set wide apart to give typical expression with a top line showing a gentle curve slanting towards the nose and a fuller rounded lower line. Her slightly stroppy temper today enhanced her expression! She has slightly large ears, broad at the base, set well apart so that the outer line of the ears continue the outer line of her wedge and they displayed the desired slight tilt forward. She has a medium elegant build, feeling firm and muscular with a very good weightiness, an elegant neck, rounded chest and straight back. Proportional and elegant legs and neat spoon shaped feet. She has a slightly fine tail, which tapers gently to a rounded tip, and is of appropriate length for her body length. Her coat is fairly short, with a fine satin texture and lies close to the body giving a lovely gleam. Even toned lilac with minimal bluey contrast to mask.

Another lovely lilac girl who is also blossoming and was only just piped into 3rd place after much consideration.
She has a lovely gentle expression, with a fairly short wedge, very good width across the top of her head, and at the cheek bones and tapering to a slightly long blunt muzzle. The top of her head shows gentle rounding between the ears, which are set well apart so that their outer line continues the shape of the upper part of her face. In profile, she has a rounded brow, a slight forward tilt to the ears and acceptable depth to her head, again a little more would be preferable. She has a distinct nose break followed by a slightly long but straight nose, just rolling off at the tip and a medium depth chin which is just level and a level bite.  Attractive large and lustrous, golden yellow chartreuse eyes, set well apart and of correct shape with a rounded bottom line and a gentler curved top line slanting towards her nose.  She has slightly large ears, broad based ears, rounded tips set very well, their outer edge continuing the outline of her wedge. She has a medium sized elegant body with firm muscle tone, typically heavier than you’d expect from her size. A rounded chest and straight back, slender elegant legs proportional to her body with neat oval paws. Her tail is just slightly thicker at the base than desired, but tapers gently to a rounded tip, with a good length to balance her body. She has a fairly short coat, slightly dense but with fine soft texture lying close to the body with a good sheen, and a pale but warm even toned lilac colouring.

This lad just gets better every time I see him. He confidently walked out of the pen onto the table of his own accord to show himself off and had obviously had lots of stories to tell us about! He has a well balanced head with a short wide wedge, and blunt muzzle and slight rounding to the top of his head. In profile, good depth to the skull, a gentle curve over the brow and an excellent nose break, fairly short straight nose and level chin of reasonably depth, in all a very pleasing and neatly chiselled profile. Correctly shaped eyes, with a top line slanting towards the nose and lower line nice and rounded. They are set well apart and having a reasonably good size with a pale chartreuse colouration delivers a handsome rakish expression. His ears are large, a little over powering for me, but very well set so that the outer line continues from his wedge, broad at the base, rounded tips and a slight tilt in profile. He has a lovely muscular powerful body, strong rounded chest, straight back. Proportional strong elegant legs and neat oval paws and the requisite tail, medium thick tapering gently to a rounded tip, just long enough to balance. Super gleaming coat, rich dark brown, reasonably short in length and with a super satin like texture.  Yes a bit of a heart throb!.

5 yr old lady of nervous temperament, looking better in the pen than out where she could feel safer and more relaxed.
She has a short wide wedge with excellent width at the cheek bones finishing with a good blunt muzzle.  In profile, she has gentle, slight rounding over the top of her head and over her brow, with reasonably good depth to her head. She has a good distinct nose break followed by a fairly short straight nose which has a downward slant to it and a slightly broad bridge to her nose. Her chin has medium depth and is level, finishing in line with her nose, but her bite is rather untidy, with the top small middle teeth at the front being marginally undershot. Large lustrous eyes, of yellow chartreuse, which she held rather too full whilst out of the pen, due to nerves, but settled to a ‘typical’ Burmese shape once she had time to settle back in her pen.  Well set slightly large ears, broad at the base, rounded at the tip. Weighty  medium sized girl, well muscled with proportional shapely slender legs and neat oval paws. Slightly thick tail tapering to the tip with a very small stiff thickening at the tip, and just enough length to balance. Fairly short coat, with a fine satin texture, appearing to have slightly darker toned lilac colour although difficult to assess in the hall lighting with darker slightly bluer tones over mask and tail, paling over flanks and too the hair roots.

A mature, over 6 years old, affectionate, good natured cream lad  who handled very well.
He has a moderate wedge with good width at the cheeks, rather narrower in the muzzle than desirable, and gentle rounding between well set ears with an outer line as a continuation of his wedge. In profile, a slight rounding over brow, acceptable nose break followed by a straight but slightly too long nose, a little more depth to his head would also be preferable. Slightly shallow chin which sits slightly set back, and level bite. He has acceptable sized chartreuse eyes with a top line which slants towards his nose and a roundness to the lower line although a fuller lower line would be preferred. His ample sized ears are well shaped, broad at the base and rounded at tip showing a slight tilt forward in profile. A big lad with quite a long body, well muscled feeling firm and strong, proportionally strong, longer legs and oval paws. His tail is medium thick at the base tapering slightly to a rounded tip and is of good length balancing body. Slightly darker toned cream coat, paling over flanks, and with a darker mask which is fairly short and fairly close lying with a good texture. Slight powdering is evident over her head, smudges on knees and elbows, a broken necklace and the expected forehead scarab.

7 and half month old pretty female kitten, beginning that ‘in-betweeny’ age between kitten and adulthood.
She has a fairly short wide wedge with excellent width across top of her head, which shows gentle rounding and good width at cheeks finishing with a good blunt muzzle. In profile she has good depth to her head, a slightly rounded brow, definite but gentle nose break straight nose which is slightly long and shows a slight roll off at the tip presently. Medium depth chin which perfectly lines up with her nose and very smart teeth with a level bite. She has very expressive, large, attractive eyes of excellent shape, having a typical straighter slanting top line and well defined round and full lower line. Her eye colour still developing and showing a good strong yellow chartreuse outer ring to her iris. Her slightly large ears, have an excellent set continuing her wedge and are the correct shape, broad at the base and rounded tips with a slight tilt forward in profile. A good size and weight for her age she feels firm and muscular, elegantly proportioned, with appropriate slender legs and neat oval paws. Her tail, perhaps very slightly fine, tapers to a neat rounded tip, and is a very good length balancing her body. She has a very pretty lilac tortie coat, nice pale shades of cream mingled with pinky lilac. Lovely satin texture, smooth and close lying giving a good sheen like finish, free from bars, excellent condition.

Sweet chocolate tortie baby of just 4 and half months with a very pale cream blaze across her muzzle. She has a fairly short, fairly wide wedge finished with a bunt muzzle., slight rounding to top of her head, and good depth between top of skull and lower jaw. In profile she has a slightly rounded brow followed by adequate break, fairly short nose, which currently is slightly curved and rolls off at the tip. Reasonably good depth of chin which finishes in line with nose, tidy level bite.  Fairly good sized eyes, personally I’d prefer them to be a little larger, of correct shape with top line slanting towards nose, rounded lower line. Eye colour is still developing and is currently a promising deep muddy yellow.
Her ears are slightly large and she was inclined to hold slightly higher than desirable today. They are broad at the base and with rounded tips and show a slight tilt forward in profile. She is a good size and weight for her age with a lovely firm feel, elegant proportional legs and oval paws, rounded chest and straight back. Her tail is of good length balancing her body with a medium thickness at its base tapering slightly to a rounded tip. Her coat has a good satin texture and lies fairly well although slightly long presently. A happy alert kitten who took the day in her stride and handled very well.

A very close second, this really sweet pretty girly girl, looking angelic in the pen, though with not so angelic manners when handled, I suspect it was mostly due to fear. She is a smaller framed Burmese, feeling really firm and surprisingly weighty despite her petite structure. Lovely appealing look, fairly short wide wedge, fairly good width at cheeks and over her top of head with a nice blunt finish. Slight rounding between her ears, and over her brow, a rather gentle nose break, followed by a straight fairly short nose. She has acceptable depth to her head, slightly shallow level chin, neat correct bite. Really gorgeous chartreuse eyes, set well apart, with eyeliner effect which enhances the lovely gentle curve and slant towards the nose of the top line and a well defined, rounded bottom line. Ears, slightly large, well set, with the outer line a continuation of her wedge.  Broad at their base, rounded tips and the requisite slight tilt forward in profile. Proportional, slender legs and cute oval paws, rounded chest and straight back, elegant tail balances her body with a small fused tail pip at its end. Mid blue coat with plenty of silvering evident especially over face and chest it is of reasonable length with a fine silky texture.  Very promising and at not quite a year old I look forward to seeing her in the future as she continues to mature.

Lovely laid back nature, happy and content with the day’s proceedings. Well grown young neuter boy of 1 year and a few months, quite substantial already for his age. Moderate wedge, fairly good width at cheeks and between the ears and fairly blunt but longish muzzle. Slight rounding over brow and between the ears and good depth between top of skull and lower jaw. He has a gentle nose break followed by a straight slightly long nose. Medium depth to chin and a correct level bite. Large yellow chartreuse eyes, set well apart and of good shape. Well defined difference between the slanting straighter top line and fuller rounded lower line. Medium sized ears, broad at the base and rounded at the tip and having a slight forward tilt in profile. He has a larger sized body, slightly overweight with longer slender legs and oval paws. His tail is slightly thick at its base, exaggerated by a rather plush coat covering, it gently tapers to a rounded tip, with a slight stiffening at its end. Soft textured coat over body, slightly long and a bit plush. Slightly darker lilac tones to mask

A really super typed chocolate neuter girl, rather grumpy but with a bit of schmoozing and gentle persuasion she decided she’d let us admire her! Lovely short wedge, plenty of width at the cheekbones and finishing with a blunt muzzle. Gentle rounding in all directions, top and brow, well set ears, perhaps slightly large, with broad base and rounded tips. In profile a neat distinct nose break followed by a short straight nose, which just rolls off to the nose leather. Medium depth chin which lines up perfectly to the nose, and a level bite. Fabulous eyes, large and lustrous and with a typical evil expression, set well apart and pale chartreuse in colour. Lovely muscular firm feel to her compact body, elegant shaped legs and oval paws, strong rounded chest and straight back. Her tail, medium thick at its base tapers slightly to a rounded tip and is just a fraction short to balance. Another lovely satin sleek coat, very well prepared, fairly short in length. She has warm tones to her mid chocolate coat colouring, paling over flanks and chest, with only a slightly darker toned mask. My favourite neuter today, with lots of impact, congratulations.

In profile, a distinct nose break followed by a straight nose which rolls off to the nose leather, and medium depth chin, very slightly set back, and requiring a little more overall depth to his skull. He has large, loving, expressive eyes set well apart and  correctly shaped with a slanting straighter top line and rounded lower line, and chartreuse in colour. His medium sized ears are broad at the base have rounded tips and show the requisite slight tilt forward in profile.  Firm muscular medium sized body with rounded chest and straight back, slender elegant legs, neat oval paws. His tail is just slightly short to balance his body length, medium thick at the base, tapering slightly to a rounded tip. His coat is slightly long, and slightly plush today with a soft texture, a good rich tangerine in colour along the back gradually paling to a lighter colour down the sides and  on the under parts. His ears and face having a slightly richer tangerine colour, clear coated, with a red scarab on his forehead as you’d expect.
