I
was delighted to be asked to judge again this
year by Chris. Thanks must go to Jan Bradley for looking after me with
her
usual patience, and for her expert
handling
of the cats we met, I look forward to the next time. Many thanks to the
exhibitors who trusted me with their precious cats.

CH DULCAMARA PETRONELLA 27c F 04/07/08
A
well
grown young lady who is developing
an attractive maturity. She
has a pleasing
head, comprising of a fairly good wide wedge, good width at cheeks and
tapering
to a fairly blunt muzzle.
She
has gentle rounding in all
directions over top of head.
In
profile, she has a distinct nose break followed by a quite short
straight nose,
just falling away at the very tip. She has an acceptable depth from top
of her
head to lower jaw, incorporating a medium depth level chin and correct
bite. She
has medium sized ears, wide at base and rounded tips, well set apart
with their
outline following the outer-line of her wedge as desired. She has
attractive,
large chartreuse eyes, with more yellow tones apparent towards the
outer ring
of her iris. Correctly shaped with a rounded lower line and slanted top
line
giving a very nice Burmese expression.
She
is
medium sized with a lovely firm muscular feel and of very good weight,
rounded
chest and straight back. She has appropriately proportioned elegant
legs and
oval paws, medium thick tail slightly tapering to a round tip which
just balances.
Her immaculate, short, satin textured coat, is well prepared giving a
sleek
close lying finish. In the hall lighting today her coat colour appears
just a
little darker lilac than I prefer and would benefit from a little more
warmth,
is clear with minimal contrast to her mask. She is clearly in tip top
condition,
has an excellent temperament handling very well.

CHIARO ZINZERO 27d M 12/06/09
A
young adolescent chap, only just adult today. Unfortunately
I did not judge the classes in order so I reached him in the hub bub of
afternoon and I didn’t get the best of him as he was very shy and
tense. He has
a fairly short wedge with nice width at the cheeks finishing with a
reasonably
blunt muzzle. He has gentle rounding between his ears, forehead and
brow. In
profile he has a distinct nose break followed by a fairly short
straight nose.
He has good depth from top of his head to lower jaw line and a good
depth to
his chin, just about level and a correct bite. He has medium sized
ears, broad
at the base and rounded at tips, continuing the line of his wedge and
with the
requisite slight tilt forward in profile. His eyes are fairly large
with the
correct shape; rounded lower line and curved top line that slants
towards his
nose and of attractive golden yellow tones. He presently has a slight
adolescent build , with good muscle tone, giving a firm weighty feel,
complete
with proportional legs and paws and a tail of good length, which is
perhaps
slightly fine. His coat has good texture, medium length and lies well
giving a
good satin feel. It has a good bright tangerine colouration over head
and back,
over sides to tummy, only small smudges on knees and broken necklaces
at neck.
An exhibit in lovely condition and with lots of promise.

I
was very taken with this gorgeous lady of
outstanding type. She has a typical Burmese head with a short wide
wedge with
lovely blunt finish to her muzzle, excellent width at cheeks and
between her
ears. Her top of head and brow shows gentle rounding in all directions.
In profile she has a distinct break,
followed
by a straight nose and good depth to her head with a medium depth level
chin
and tidy level bite. Her super wedge outline, continues up to medium
sized
ears, set wide apart, broad at the base and rounded at the tip with the
desired
tilt forward in profile. She has large expressive eyes, yellow
chartreuse in
colour, set well apart and with good distinction between upper and
lower lines.
The lower line being full and rounder and the top line a continuous
slight
curve slanting towards the nose. She is a good sized lady, medium
length body
with a substantial muscular feel, typically heavier than her
appearance. She
has proportional elegant limbs and neat oval paws, medium thick tail
tapering
slightly to the tip, perhaps a fraction short to balance if I am picky.
Her
coat has a fine satin texture, medium in length, gleaming rich warm
seal brown.
She has a composed and dignified presence about her, very attractive!

Slightly
older girl of good overall type, and
unlucky with the competition today. She has a short wide wedge finished
with a
blunt muzzle. Her top of the head has good width, although slightly
flat. In
profile she has quite good depth, a good break followed by a straight
nose with
a very small bump and a medium depth level chin and acceptable bite.
She has
medium sized ears, broad at the base, rounded at the tip and in profile
showing
a forward tilt and set well apart so that the outer line continues the
outer
line of her wedge. She has large expressive pale chartreuse eyes set
well apart
with a well defined rounded bottom line and a gentler curved top line
slanting
towards her nose.
She is
elegantly proportioned, with a very good
weighty, muscular feel, rounded chest and straight back, proportional,
slender
elegant legs and oval paws. She has a medium thick tail which tapers
gently to
a rounded tip of good length to balance her frame. Her coat has a fine,
satin
texture and is short and close lying giving a glossy finish. It is a
warmish
toned darker seal brown with a sprinkling of white hairs over her
shoulders.

What
a little cutie! Mischievous, busy and generally
up to no good at any opportunity but adorable! She
has a short wide wedge with lovely width
at the cheeks and between her ears tapering to a blunt muzzle with a
lovely rounded
top and brow. In profile she has good depth to her head, adequate
break,
straight nose, level chin of medium depth and a correct tidy bite.
Rather large
ears, as is often the case in a kitten, which are very wide at their
base,
rounded tips with the requisite slight forward tilt in profile. They
are well
set so that the outer line continues the outer line of her wedge. She
has large
lustrous eyes with very attractive golden yellow tones, set well apart
and of
good shape with rounded lower line gentler curved top line that slants
towards
her nose to give her a delightful cheeky Burmese expression. She has an
elegant
body feeling firm and weighty for her size, slender elegant legs and
neat oval
paws and correctly shaped tail just long enough to balance. Her coat is
soft
kitten texture, lovely and even in colour with very little contrast to
mask,
and a warm pale chocolate tone and free from bars. A very promising
baby.

A
quality exhibit and an excellent example of the
breed. She has a very good short wide wedge, finishing with an
attractive
bluntness to the muzzle. She has gentle rounding to the top of the head
and
over her brow. In profile she has quite good depth between top of head
and
lower jaw, a distinct nose break followed by a short straight nose
which falls
away only at the very tip and a shallow depth level chin and acceptable
bite.
She has ears on the larger side of medium, with superb set having good
width
between them and the outline following though from the outline of her
short
wide wedge to give a typical look. She has large, lustrous eyes, pale
chartreuse in colour, set well apart with a top line slanting towards
the nose,
and a rounded lower line giving her an excellent Burmese expression.
She is
rather plump but tidy with it, having a compact firm body, rounded
chest and
straight back from shoulder to rump, elegant slender legs, neat oval
paws and
medium thick tail tapering slight to a rounded tip with enough length
to
balance her body length. She is adorned with a super sleek coat, of a
fine
satin texture, medium in length and of a lovely rich warm even
chocolate colour
with minimal contrast. Lovely condition and joy to admire.

A handsome gentleman of 8yrs. He has a moderately short
wedge, nicely
blunt but slightly long muzzle. He has gentle rounding to top and brow.
He has
a good nose break and slightly long nose which rolls off at the end.
His chin is
of good depth but not quite level with his nose and his bite was level.
His ears are medium in size, broad
at
the base and rounded at the tips, set well apart with a slight forward
tilt in
profile. He has large well shaped eyes with a gentle expression, pale
chartreuse in colour. He is quite a substantial lad, appropriately
sized for a male
Burmese, with a muscular feel, strong rounded chest and straight back
from
shoulder to rump. He has proportional strong yet elegant legs, and oval
paws.
He has a well shaped tail, medium thick at the base gently tapering to
its tip
and of appropriate length to balance his body. His coat is slightly
long with a
satin texture and lies well. It is rich brown in colour, with a nice
gloss and
just a smattering of white hairs over his shoulders. Shown in excellent
condition and he has a lovely temperament and was a pleasure to meet.

Rather
a portly lady which spoils her overall balance.
She has a fairly short wedge with good width at the cheeks tapering to
a
slightly fine muzzle. In profile she has a slight flatness to brow
quite good
depth to her head, a distinct break and straight nose which rolls only
at the tip
to the nose leather and is fairly short. She has a level bite, although
she has
lost quite a few teeth now, a medium depth chin, which is just about
level. She
has medium sized ears, wide at the base, rounded at tips and with
acceptable
set. Her eyes are large, pale chartreuse, quite well shaped although
I’d prefer
more fullness to the lower line to give more distinction between upper
and
lower line. She has a medium length weighty body, slender legs and oval
paws.
Her tail is medium think at the base tapering gently to a rounded tip,
short of
balancing. Her coat has a fine satin texture, slightly long, but lying
well.
She has a mid cream even coloured coat, paling over the sides, and
having
powdering over head and shoulders. A Sweet natured girl in good
condition.

A
really lovely lady with super Burmese type. She
has a short wedge, lovely width at the cheeks and between her ears and
tapering
to a broad blunt muzzle. She has gentle rounding to top and brow and
good overall
depth to her head. She has a distinct break, short straight nose,
rolling off
at the tip ending level with her chin which has good depth. Her bite is
a little
untidy but level. She has broad based medium sized ears with rounded
tips set
wide so that their outer line continues her wedge shape. She has
typical large lustrous
and expressive yellow eyes, complete with sultry Burmese expression.
She has a
weighty and well muscled medium length body, strong rounded chest and
straight
back. Slender elegant legs, oval paws and a well shaped tail just
slightly
short completes the ensemble. She has a fine silky coat, reasonably
short,
which is a glossy warm seal brown with just a sprinkling of white hairs
over
her shoulders. The hair over her tummy has very pale tips, perhaps
bleached by the
affects extensive time laying on a hot pad? She was well behaved, is in
excellent condition and clearly aware that she superior to us all!
