Cumberland Cat Club Show Oct 2010
I had such a lovely day, adorable cats and kittens and the very capable helping hands of Jean Godfrey. Thank you to all the ‘Team’ that helped put the Show on and to Simon and Jennifer for the invitation and of course for the sausage which was really enjoyed that evening by my partner and I!

1st William’s GR CH MOLYNMEUX BEUXTIFUL  27c  F  19/11/05
A stunning lady with magnificent eyes! She has a short, wide wedge, a gently rounded top of head with a slight curve over the brow  and a lovely short broad muzzle that fits seamlessly into her wedge shape. She has a distinct break, followed by a short straight nose which slopes downwards slightly. Her chin is level but I’d prefer it to have a little more depth and she has a tidy level bite. Her medium large ears are well set, broad at the base with rounded tips. She has super large and sparkling chartreuse eyes with an eyeliner effect giving her a typical Burmese expression. Although slightly overweight she feels firm and toned with a strong rounded chest and straight back. Her elegant proportional legs finish with neat oval paws whilst her medium thick tail tapers to a rounded tip just slightly short to balance. Her coat is an even mid-toned lilac with hints of pink despite the hall lighting, with an attractive frosting over head and ears. It is fine and satin textured, short in length, sleek and close lying. She is very well mannered, gentle and composed. Congratulations.

2nd Ferguson’s TEAROHA BROWN BUTTON  27  F   21/07/08
An attractive brown female who has a short wedge, with good width at the cheeks, tapering to a broad blunt muzzle. She has slight rounding to the top of her head but a slight flatness to the brow. Her well-defined nose break is followed by a fairly short nose with a small bump and roll off at the tip in profile. Her chin is level and has good depth. Her medium/large sized ears, broad at their base and rounded at their tips, are well set so that their outline continues the shape of her wedge. Her eyes are large and lustrous, well shaped and set wide apart, exhibiting a typical Burmese expression. They are just about chartreuse in colour although I’d prefer a little more of the yellower tones in them. She is a smaller framed girl and at a little over 2 years old and would benefit from carrying more weight and muscle to be typical of the breed.  She has a rounded chest and straight back, slender legs and oval paws. Her tail is medium thick at the base gently tapering to a rounded tip, just slightly short to balance her body. Her coat is a darker even seal brown, medium in length, with a good satiny texture and glossy finish.  Although not entirely happy on the table, she was much more relaxed once back in her pen.

1st  Davidson’s GR CH KARAKORAM SPOTTHEDOT  72 38bsq  F  01/09/05
A very stylish spotty tabby Asian with lots of charisma. She has a super short wide wedge tapering to a neat blunt finish. She has gentle rounding between the ears and over her brow. In profile she has a well defined break followed by a lovely short straight nose which ends level with her chin which has good depth. Her ears are well set, their outer-line continuing her wedge shape. They are medium sized, broad at the base and rounded at tips. Her eyes are a delightful, very expressive, greeny-chartreuse, large and lustrous, with a full rounded lower line and a straighter top line slanting towards her nose. She is a compact girl, feeling well toned with proportional legs and rounded paws and tail to balance. Her coat is a very good short length and feels silky and smooth. Her pattern shows good distinction, with well-defined Burmese chocolate coloured spots over most of her body with on a silvery background and bright clear silver at the roots, ringed tail, bars on her legs and pretty tabby facial markings. She also has a fabulous nature and really enjoyed being cradle cuddled. Super condition and a credit to her owner/breeder.

2nd  Marriott-Power & Marriott’s GR CH SESUANE RUMBA DAZZLER  72 45n F   30/01/05
Another very pretty and very sweet natured Asian ticked tabby. She has a lovely short wedge, with good width at the cheeks, tapering to a fairly blunt short muzzle. She has lovely rounding in all directions over her head and brow. Her medium sized ears are set well apart, broad at the base and rounded at the tip. In profile, she has a well-defined break and short nose ending level with a chin of good depth. She has fabulous large lustrous eyes, with a full rounded lower line and straighter top line. Her build is  slender, with elegant legs and neat oval paws. She feels well muscled and typically heavier than her feminine appearance would indicate. Her tail has tapers slightly to the tip and has enough length to balance her body. Her coat is very fine and soft textured, fairly short in length and a soft caramel with pale beige base colour. The ticking, although less distinct in this coat colour,  is evident particularly over her sides.

Ticked tabby boy of pleasing type, who I felt  just needed to fill out to show his full potential.

2nd Barrett’s CH ROSSIKHAN URSA MAJOR  27c  M   11/06/08
A very affectionate young man with a lovely head; composed of a short wide wedge with a fairly good blunt finish,. He has  gentle rounding over the top between his ears and over his brow. In profile,  he has a very well defined break followed by a perfectly straight nose ending level with a medium/shallow depth chin. His bite is level although he is missing some lower incisors. His well-set ears; slightly large in size with broad bases and rounded tip have the typical slight tilt forward when viewed from the side. He has excellent eyes; large and lustrous with a full rounded lower line and straighter top line. They are pale chartreuse in colour giving him a pleasing Burmese expression. He is a smaller framed, lithely built young man, slightly lean over his haunches yet surprisingly weighty. He is such a very busy boy that I suspect it must be difficult to keep his weight up. He really didn’t keep still for a second and managed to tip just about everything over in his pen as he tumbled about! He stands tall on elegant legs, finished with neat oval paws and has a rounded chest and straight back. His tail has just enough length to balance his body, medium thick at the base and tapering gently to a rounded tip. His coat is a good short length, and is a warm toned lilac, with a good texture.

3rd Taylor’s RAWEKE GOODGOLLY MISSMOLLY  27c  F   17/12/09
The youngest lilac adult today and only 22 days over the 9 months  at the adolescent stage but with plenty of relaxed confidence. She has a reasonably short wedge with very good width at the cheeks and between her ears, tapering to a moderately short muzzle with a very good blunt finish. In profile, she has gentle rounding over a longish brow, a fairly good break and reasonably short straight nose. She has quite good depth to her chin which lines up level with her nose tip. She has a correct bite. Her medium/large ears have lovely width between them so that their outer line continues the line of her wedge enhancing its shape. They are well shaped being broad at the base and rounded at the tip and have a slight forward tilt in profile. She has very good large and lustrous golden yellow eyes which have a typical Burmese shape with pleasing fullness to the rounded lower line and a straighter top line gently curving towards her nose. She has a young adolescent lithe body, with a good weighty toned feel and has shapely proportional legs ending in neat oval paws. Her tail is medium thick, tapering to a rounded tip and fractionally short to balance. She has a warmed toned mid lilac coat, which is short in length, fine silky texture and with a lovely sleek finish.  Super temperament and wonderful condition.

Red, Tortie or Cream Burmese Adult
1st GILES’ CH RAWEKE SOMETHING BLUE  27g  F   14/04/08
This is a lovely blue tortie and a good quality exhibit. Her head forms a short wedge with good width at the cheeks tapering to a rounded fairly blunt muzzle. She has gentle rounding over the top of her head and brow, just appearing fractionally heavy over the eyes for me. In profile she has a good nose break followed by a fairly short, almost straight nose; with a slight downwards slope and is just fractionally curved to its end. Her chin is medium in depth and just about level and she has a good bite. Her eyes are large with a well rounded lower line and straighter curved top line angled towards her nose. They are chartreuse in colour. She is well muscled, feeling typically heavier than she looks, with a rounded chest and straight back. Her legs are slender and elegant finished with neat oval paws. Her tail is well shaped and balances her body, just feeling slightly tense at it’s end. Her coat is really super, short in length, fine and satin-like in texture giving a good sleek finish with a healthy sheen. It is a pleasant mixture of pewter blue and soft cream and free from bars.

A very promising little baby who was a little overawed out of her pen but quickly settled with a little coaxing in her pen where she ultimately couldn’t resist a tickle of her tum!  She has a lovely short wedge and excellent width at the cheeks and across the top of her head which tapers to a fairly blunt finish. She has lovely rounding in all directions over her head which also shows good depth. In profile, her break would benefit from being better defined, but her nose is lovely and short and straight, ultimately ending perfectly in line with her chin, which is just slightly shallow. Her bite is tidy and correct. Her ears are medium large and set very well so that their outer line continues the shape of her wedge really well. Her eyes are a good large size with rounded lower line and straighter top line the colour still developing with hints of yellow tones visible. She is a baby kitten shape; very much a tummy on legs, feeling firm and well fed. She has elegant limbs and neat oval paws and well shaped tail, gentle tapering to its tip. Her coat is lovely and short and fine, It is a pinky pale lilac with a small slightly mottled area on her one side of her neck, probably from where mum has been carrying her about. I look forward to seeing how she develops.

2nd  Forbes-Nish’s DOVESTONE EVANSTAR  27c F   13/05/10
An older kitten handling her day with confidence. She has a fairly short wedge with very good width at the cheeks tapering to a blunt-ish finish, her muzzle has quite a pinch at present, so I was not surprised to find double canines in her mouth. She has a lovely rounded top between her ears and gentle rounding over the brow. In profile she has good depth to her head, a strong nose break, slightly long nose which rolls off at the tip and a medium depth chin which is fractionally set back from level today.  Her bite is neat and level. She has large ears, acceptable in a kitten, well set so that their outer line continuing the shape of her wedge, they are broad at the base and rounded at the tip with a hint of forward tilt in profile. Her eyes are lovely large and golden yellow with full rounding to the lower line and straighter top line slanting towards her nose. She is well grown for her age feeling  firm and robust, her body is elegant with slender legs and dainty oval paws.  Her tail is proportional in length, medium thick at the base, tapering gently to a rounded tip. She has a  medium length coat which is close lying with a good satin texture giving a sleek finish. The coat has pinky tones to the lilac with just a slightly darker mask. Very sweet natured girl with lots of positives, just rather overly affected by teething today.

3rd  Nicholas’ NICANORY BROWN BUTTERCUP  27  F  20/06/10
A baby brown girl kitten. She has a fairly short wedge and good width at the cheeks and across the top of her head which tapers to a muzzle with a fairly broad finish, just slightly pinched today. She has lovely rounding in all directions over her head and good depth to her head. In profile she has quite a good nose break followed by a quite short nose with a slight bump, and rolls off to its end. Her bite is tidy and level and her chin medium depth, just slipping back slightly. She has medium large ears which are set very well so that their outer line continues the shape of her wedge nicely. Her eyes are adequate in size with rounded lower line and straighter top line the colour developing lovely golden yellow hues. She is a good size for her 3 months and 20 days and has a healthy firm and robust feel to her little body. She has elegant limbs ending with neat oval paws and well shaped tail, gentle tapering to its tip. Her coat is short and fine, a kitten dull brown colour at present. Unfortunately she has marked barring on all limbs. She has a delightful temperament and is in lovely condition.

Delightful blue colourpointed baby, on her first day out.  She has a lovely rounded head with good width between neat little ears and full cheeks developing nicely. She has good sized round, quite good intensity of blue in her eyes, short nose, quite good firm chin and a short broad muzzle. Her coat, still kitteny,  is soft and plush, a soft white over her body with dusky blue points with the contrast developing nicely. She has sturdy little legs and proportionally thick tail. Quite a little character too.

A very attractive lilac lady of overall excellent type.  She has a reasonably short wedge with good width at the cheekbones, tapering to a broad blunt muzzle. She has a gently rounded top and brow, with good depth to her head. In profile she has a distinct nose break followed by a short almost straight nose, ending level with her chin of medium depth. Her medium-large ears are set well apart, broad at the base and rounded tips with a slight tilt forward. Her large lustrous chartreuse eyes, have a rounded lower line and a distinctly straighter top line, acutely angled towards her nose. She is compact and slender with a firm muscular feel, a rounded chest and straight back, elegant legs and neat oval paws which hardly stopped paddling away the whole time we were with her. Her tail is medium thick, gently tapering to a rounded tip, which is just a fraction short to balance. Her coat is medium length, lying smoothly with a satin texture, its sheen a testament to her health. It is an even mid dove grey, although the hall lighting today makes the warmer pinky tones difficult to discern. Her temperament is delightful a real pleasure.

Lovely patched tortie with black & white, she has a sparkling white tummy and bib  which also wraps over her shoulders. Glossy black patches & bright tortie tabby marks over her body finished with dainty white paws. Cute pint pink nose, long whiskers and expressive eyes. With a shy but gentle nature she preferred to entertain us in her pen where she rolled over to have her tummy tickled for us. Beautifully prepared, congratulations.
